It all comes down to this.

On August 16th, the cast and crew of Soundwaves assembled for one final shoot, a wrap party that celebrated a quarter century of great times and that inimitable SW spirit! On screen and off, people told stories, reflected on events and reunited under a very hot sun. Usually, there is a great divide between the fun had behind the scenes and what translates to the screen.

But in the case of Episode 500, the sense of nostalgia, good times and bonding is palpable – and at times, powerful. Dennis Willis, Steven Kirk and Joe McCaffrey welcome back Jason DiLorenzo, Catherine Abogado and special appearances from LaWonda Eastwood, Jennifer Stanonis, Suzanne St. John-Crane, Jeff Gracia (“Jeff’s Best”), Pacifica’s mayor Jim Vreeland, PCT Executive Director Martin Anaya, Eamonn Dennis, Steve Willis and Sarah Maginnis Willis.

Joe McCaffrey chats with Jason DiLorenzo, making his first appearance on SW since 2006; Steven Kirk chats with Christopher Vogan, a longtime crew member who directed, produced, edited, ran camera and performed any number of improvised duties.

Dennis Willis chats with his brother Steve Willis about their family's involvement over the years, and how the history of the show would be told through Steve's eyes.

Dennis and Steven's incredible chat with local broadcasting legend John Stanley ("Creature Features') about the youthful power of creativity; Joe McCaffrey chats with Eamonn Dennis, longtime friend and former crew member and performer.

A look at some of the many celebrity guests who have appeared on the show, including Jon Voight, George Clinton, Bob Wilkins, Ray Luv, Mary J. Blige, Will Smith, and the Spice Girls.

A look at some of the many celebrity guests who have appeared on the show, including producer John Daly, Aslyn, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Margot Kidder, Ms. Monster, Yes' Jon Anderson and KFOG's Dave Morey.

A nostalgic and heartfelt greeting from Pearl Alley vocalist and former host Suzanne St. John-Crane who reflects on the close bonds forged during intense moments of personal growth while working on the show.

BUT SERIOUSLY...
Soundwaves wasn't always about having fun. At times, the show also tackled serious themes and events such as abuse, Hurricane Katrina, the passings of major luminaries and a powerful and cathartic 9/11 postscript, shot days after the tragedy.

Steven Kirk and Catherine Abogado share the screen for the first time in 20 years. The result is a funny and touching conversation, complete with Steve's none-too-subtle pressure for Cathie to co-host the Christmas show.

DiLO KISSES THE RING
Actor and co-host Jason DiLorenzo pays tribute to producer Dennis Willis and explains how Soundwaves forced him to "get good real quick."



PART 16:
30-HOUR MARATHON/CHRISTMAS PARTY
The history of how the Soundwaves Christmas Party fundraisers sprung from Dennis and Steve's desire to set a local endurance TV record -- and a pretty thorough primer on the annual food, clothing and toy drives.



PART 17:
A LITTLE HOMETOWN LOVE
PCT Executive Director Martin Anaya explains why Soundwaves is the forerunner to hundreds of other cable music show and why it has been unique for a quarter century; Dennis Willis talks Soundwaves on The Bruce Latimer Show.

LaWonda Eastwood sends a shout-out from Bend, Oregon; Dennis Willis tells Catherine Abogado what her presence has meant to the show and him personally over the years.

THE RETURN OF JENNIFER STANONIS
Jason DiLorenzo introduces a surprise: the return of Jennifer Stanonis, who hosted Soundwaves for two years before becoming a successful news reporter. Jennifer greets us from the WKBW newsroom and has a few great stories about being part of the gang.



PART 21:
DENNIS & JOE: A LONG, STRANGE TRIP
Dennis Willis and Joe McCaffrey react to Jennifer's appearance and reflect on fifteen years of working together and having known each other for most of their lives.



PART 22:
MONTAGE: “PORK & BEANS”
Catherine Abogado reflects fondly upon the Soundwaves legacy; and a montage filled with amusing clips from the past quarter century.



PART 23:
THE BIG FINALE, PART 1
Dennis Willis and Steven Kirk's final segment together is a touching homage to a 20-year friendship.
